Please include your name, organization, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
Write-On Arts Presidential PuppetsThe Write-On Arts "Presidential Puppets" lesson was a huge success in our 2nd grade classrooms this month. Students created puppets from paper bags with themselves as the President of the United States. Groups brainstormed ideas, each student chose a position to take as president, and then presented their persuasive speech in front of the class with their puppet! Teachers expressed amazement with the depth of passion, thoughtfulness and commitment shown by their students. Shy students stepped out, and gregarious ones felt bashful. Students had new experiences and we saw incredible growth with teachers and students alike. |
